VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
QCK is well-known for our Volunteer Program where we dispatch nearly 100 Queen’s Commerce students each year into local Kingston elementary schools to work hands-on with both students and teachers. Each student volunteer is given the opportunity to either volunteer in the classroom or during lunchtime. Classroom volunteers primarily assist the teacher with general tasks which range greatly depending on the age of the class. Lunchtime volunteers supervise children during outside activities and develop genuine connections with the children.
Volunteer hiring occurs at the beginning of each academic semester. Follow our Facebook and Instagram pages to stay up to date with application deadlines!

WHY VOLUNTEER WITH US?
PERSONALIZED PROGRAM

Our Volunteer Coordinators work with student volunteers to develop an efficient schedule that aligns with each student’s individual timetable. Students never have to choose between attending lectures or participating in volunteering, as we make both possible for every student.
CERTIFICATE HOURS

All volunteering with QCK contributes to the 40 required volunteer hours for students pursuing the Commerce Certificate of Social Impact offered through the Centre for Social Impact.
BE A KID

Volunteers are given the opportunity to take a step back from their countless meetings, difficult midterms and daunting hiring processes for just an hour each week to feel what it’s like to be a kid again, through weekly volunteering.
